Our God Is Mighty To Save

JESUS CHRIST – THE MIGHTY SAVIOR:

Isaiah 63:1

Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

This One whom we trust and worship. The One we call Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Savior is a mysteriously and gloriously complex person. He is both a man and the God by whom man was made. One of the great mysteries of our faith is the glorious person of our Savior.

The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).  That means that your sins have caused a separation between you and God (Isaiah 59:2)  and the result is death (Romans 6:23)  and wrath (Ephesians 2:3). The only way to be saved from the wrath of God, is to be saved from it by faith in Christ (Epesians 2:8-9) and (Romans 5:1).  You must trust in what Jesus did on the cross to forgive you of your sins and not trust anything else, not even your own sincerity or works. 

Being both God and man, he is "mighty to save".
